    The Colorado sun is intense, even on the rare occasion when it's behind the clouds. Sunscreen with a high SPF rating is a must. Colorado's mountain weather is another part of the adventure. A winter snowstorm can last for days and produce three feet of fresh powder. In the summer, warm breezes often usher in afternoon rain, and you can expect a slight chill when the sun sets.
