Exploring the Colonial City of Granada
Located on the shores of Lake Nicaragua, Granada is one of the oldest cities in the region. Home of the first notable Spanish settlement in the country, historical and architectural wonders abound.
Iglesia de La Merced. Notably one of the most beautiful churches in the city, the Iglesia de La Merced is a historic landmark dating back to 1528. Breathtaking views of the city center await you at the top of the church's bell tower.
Islets of Granada. Huge volcanic boulders make up the 365 small islands known as Islets of Granada. A private boat tour is the best way to see the islets, which vary in size and have their own unique appeal.

Forecasting Your Emerald Coast Vacation
The tropical climate and position on the Pacific Coast create warm conditions for your vacation in Nicaragua. Temperatures vary between 72 degrees at night and 86 degrees in the daylight hours. May is known as the hottest month and January through June marks the dry season. You'll see the most vegetation from July onward.
